Biography:
Robert Wynter has been in public speaking, training, coaching and management consulting for over 20 years. He is a graduate of University of Toronto, McGill University and West Virginia College of Graduate Studies where he achieved first and second degrees in Chemical Engineering and an MBA. Building on his process thinking honed as an engineer, he launched into a career in Management Consulting and Training, specializing in Strategic Transformation applying his skills to major organizations in the Private, Public, NGO and Academic sectors in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
With a passion for Education, Robert has contributed significantly to education transformation in Jamaica, having founded the Educate JA! Transformation Program tackling the problem of poor student education outcomes within underprivileged high schools in the inner cities and rural areas in Jamaica. With his own resources he has enabled quantum leap improvement in student performance using Advocacy, Strategy Execution and Leadership Development.
Having gained success in facilitating strategic transformation, Robert embarked on public speaking for individual clients and at conferences in Jamaica, the Caribbean, South Africa, Finland and the United States. As a newspaper columnist over the last decade, Robert has been a fearless, no-nonsense journalist tackling difficult issues affecting the country while proposing practical solutions to solve the challenges. The areas of focus have been Leadership, Performance Management, Education and Government inefficiency.
Robert is a member of Swallowfield Chapel and the Kiwanis Clubs of Liguanea and St. Thomas. He has been blessed with one son and a grand-daughter.
